Arlo and the Great Big Cover-up has been a helpful little parable for us as our T Rex is starting to experience consequences for his various choices in life.

It never feels good to have to live through a consequence, but when you simultaneously know the unconditional love of your parents, all fear is gone.

The illustrations are very cute and I just love the emotions of the cat 🐈‍⬛ as the story unfolds 😹

I do think the ending is slightly forced or rigid in that it doesn’t feel like natural conversation that would happen between you and your child. Our experience feels slightly messier 🤷🏼‍♀️

We’ve used this book a lot and have been able to remind T Rex about our friend Arlo, when his feelings and consequences are not making sense to him in the moment.
