T Rex’s pick of the week is the classic, Where the Wild Things Are, written and illustrated by Maurice Sendak.

We ❤️ this book for so many reasons. It’s about mischievous Max who has a wild night of getting into trouble, imaginative adventures from his bedroom, and the constant love of his mom. I think T can somehow relate to a boy who says something crazy to his mom, gets sent to his room, imagines he is somewhere else, and still wants to end up where he is loved best, at home with his family.

We love adding in our own voices for the wild things on the wordless pages of “the wild rumpus.”

If you’ve got a wild one at home, this is the perfect story for you to share.
